completed

The United States celebrated 250 years of American independence with international recognition from allies and partners. Various landmarks across the globe were illuminated in red, white, and blue, and ceremonial flyovers and cultural displays were held to mark the milestone. Notable events included the Eiffel Tower lighting in Paris, flyovers by the Patrouille de France over the Statue of Liberty and Independence Hall, and a July 4 international naval review off the coast of New York involving over 130 foreign navies and coast guards.
