Description | USA Climbing is planning to build a new headquarters and National Training Center in Salt Lake City's Rio Grande District. The 102,903 square foot, 3-story facility will include indoor and outdoor climbing walls, strength and conditioning equipment studios, locker rooms, equipment rentals, storage, office space, multi-purpose meeting and training spaces, and a dedicated area for national team athletes for training and recovery. The project also includes demolition and rebuilding of the historic Salt Lake Mattress Company building to serve as office space and a cafe. The building will also function as a commercial climbing gym when not used by Olympic-level athletes. |
