Description

Description

The purpose of this activity for Regional Health Integration to Enhance Services in East Central Uganda (RHITES-EC) is to secure services to support the design and implementation of a comprehensive, integrated investment in regional health, HIV/AIDS and nutrition assistance. The activity aims to maximize the impact of the Government of Uganda (GOU), the United States Government (USG) and other investments in health services and systems. This $57,000,000 five-year activity targets 11 districts in East Central Uganda with an estimated total population of 4.1 million through a district-based integrated package of quality health, HIV/AIDS, nutrition and child development services. The unit of planning and implementation for this activity is at the district level. The recipient will design, plan and implement activities in focus districts informed by epidemiology, disease burden, population, and local context within a district. For each district, the recipient will propose the most effective and efficient approaches and strategies for achieving greater results and impact in the different program areas.
