Used Automotive Lubricant Management Pilot Project

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) and Tata Motors have partnered to implement a pilot project aimed at establishing an organized and traceable system for managing used automotive lubricants, classified as hazardous waste. The project focuses on collection, storage, and recycling of used lubricants, supporting compliance with India's Extended Producer Responsibility framework. HPCL will manage aggregation and transportation through authorized collection mechanisms, while Tata Motors will leverage its authorized service network for structured collection and responsible disposal.
