Utah Statewide Water Conservation Recommendations

planned

A set of water conservation recommendations issued by Utah Governor Spencer Cox in response to severe drought conditions affecting all 29 counties in Utah. The recommendations include measures such as state agencies following conservation rules, residents fixing irrigation leaks, converting unnecessary lawn areas to waterwise landscapes, purchasing smart-timer controllers and low-flow toilets, and reducing indoor water use by fixing leaks. The goal is to reduce water usage and mitigate the drought impact, although the expected water savings are modest compared to the overall water needs.
