UTSA Main Campus Mixed-Use and Commercial Development Master Plan

The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) approved a master plan in 2019 to add dozens of buildings to its Main Campus between Loop 1604 and UTSA Boulevard. The plan focuses on mixed-use spaces and commercial development along the southern border of the main campus. The master plan includes encouraging mixed-use development, diverse housing options, and pursuing revenue development opportunities. A feasibility study was conducted in 2020 for a Tricentennial Innovation Park, which would incorporate leased space for small and large businesses. However, progress on these large-scale upgrades has been limited with few updates since the study.
