Description | Information Water Resources Department, Govt. of A.P has come up with V K M N Janjhavathi Reservoir Development Project with a ticket size of 160.13 INR Crores. This project in Irrigation sub-sector involves The current status of the project is Notice to Proceed and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project The Project was started in the year 1976 with an estimated cost of Rs. 13.50 crores. Due to Interstate issue, to achieve partial benefits to ayacutdars Rubbed Dam was temporarily erected in NOF portion of the Reservoir. The RUBBER DAM of this project was dedicated to the Nation on 01.01.2006. Foreshore submergence area in A.P Territory is 1070 Acres and Odisha Territory is 1175.10 Acres. R & R Programme implemented in A.P Territory LA and R&R yet to be implemented in Odisha Territory. On resolving interstate clearance land to be acquired in the foreshore submergence area in Odisha. |
