Description | The project entails the development of a photovoltaic solar plant with capacity of 70 MWp by COHESSA. The project began construction in August 2014. It will be sited in the Valle department, 111 km south of the capital city of Tegucigalpa. The project is expected to generate approximately 122 GWh per annum. The project will be located over an area of 212 hectares of modified habitat and agricultural pasture land. It will be connected through a substation to the national grid, which crosses the project from east to west, near the main entrance of the property. The equipment for the project will consist of proven ground-mounted photovoltaic crystalline modules, and inverters from ABB (ABB PVS800-57-1000kW-C), or equivalent. Construction is expected to be completed by June 2015. |
