Van Don - Mong Cai Expressway

The project involves the construction of 80.2 KM Van Don-Mong Cai Expressway in Vietnam through the districts of Van Don, Tien Yen, Dam Ha, Hai Ha and Mong Cai city. The expressway will have 4 lanes with designed maximum speed of 100 KM/h and is expected to reduce travel time from Van Don to Mong Cai from 2 hours to less than 1 hour. The People’s Committee of Quang Ninh Province awarded the contract to a joint venture owned by Long Van Infrastructure Investment and Development Company, Van Don Sun JSC (a subsidiary of Sun Group) and Cong Thanh Transportation and Construction under build-operate-transfer (BOT) model for 20 years. The operator will collect toll fees. The project cost is VND 11 trillion o $ 485 million.
