Vanderhoof - Cultural Centre

The project will increase access to culture by constructing a Cultural Centre adjacent the existing Museum in the District of Vanderhoof. The centre will house various artifacts donated by the Saik’uz First Nation, as well as, host cultural events and workshops. The new facility will showcase the history of the Nechako Valley as well as the Saik’uz First Nation. The project works will include: - construction of an approximately 4200 sq ft. Cultural Centre including the structure, electrical, heating and plumbing components; - public washrooms within the new construction; - small staff kitchen; - relocation of existing building onsite; - audio/visual equipment; - signage and wayfinding; - installation of solar panels; - preparation and completion of a parking lot adjacent to the Cultural Centre; - all related works.
