Description | India's first high-tech bullet train station has taken shape at Vapi in Valsad district as part of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project. The station covers approximately 28,917 square meters near Chanod Colony in the Dungra area of Vapi. The station's design is based on the concept of 'Speed' and offers airport-level amenities including business class lounge, nursery, modern lifts, and escalators. The project integrates Japanese 'Shinkansen' technology for tracks and systems, with the train being 'Made in India' (B28 bullet train) running at speeds of 250 to 280 km/h. Tunnel construction near Zaroli village in Umargam was completed in 10 months by cutting through mountains, and work on major bridges and viaducts on NH-48 is in its final phase. Completion will reduce the distance between Mumbai and Ahmedabad and revolutionize transportation. |
