Description

Description

'VAR 4 Fair Play - Enhancing the experience of fair-play in football' is a project that strives to design a complex and attractive fair-play learning experience for players. We believe that by identifying how fair-play can be experienced in an attractive and innovative way, we can offer a unique player experience focused on values of inclusion, equality, mutual understanding and cooperation. Our experience already shows that mainstreaming fair-play in sport addresses a social gap at various levels: - it provides a cultivated inclusive approach to its participants - it builds a stronger sense of belonging and community between its participants - it offers an appealing space for non-formal education - it encourages the participants to develop their social skills in an engaging way - it nurtures well-being and mutual care This project will therefore explore and implement innovative methods to maximise and expand on the current practices of fair-play in football, through the following outputs: - A fair-play player journey mapping, demonstrating the several stages where fair-play can be experienced and enhanced - A fair-play mediation toolbox to equip fair-play implementers with the tools to provide an attractive pedagogical experience - A framework for fair-play social reporting that demonstrates impact and guides organisations with their data collection and analysis Beneficiaries/protagonists: - Youth workers and educators - Youth in need for inclusive and accessible sports activities - Organisations active in the field of sport for development - University students Expected impact and results: - Increase in demand to take part in 'fair-play' and inclusive sport - Fair-play becomes part of the identity of its participants on and off the pitch as the fair-play community expands - Youth workers become fair-play experts in sport thanks to new tools developed - Organisations are more systematic in their impact measurement
