The facility will manufacture the VBAT drone system, a fixed-wing, vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) platform. The project is backed by a $90 million investment and includes a long-term technology transfer from US defence innovator Shield AI. The facility is expected to be operational by the last quarter of 2026 and will support end-to-end production, domestic supply chain creation, workforce training, and MRO services for unmanned systems. |
