Description

Procurement of approximately 15 Heavy Duty Battery Electric Buses. Heavy Duty BEBs will be 40-foot low-floor accessible buses with a minimum seated capacity of 40 passengers, with minimum 675 kWh batteries for an operating range of 375km or better. BEBs will be equipped with all passenger and operator safety features currently in service with the BC Transit fleet, including interior and exterior CCTV; and with passenger convenience features including NextRide visual/audio stop notification. These buses will support expansion growth, reducing the reliance on diesel-fueled vehicles and supporting CleanBC targets for reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
