Description | Acquisition of 10 High Capacity (HC) Battery Electric Buses (BEB) with a rated passenger capacity of 100 with 86 seats and 2 mobility aid positions. These buses will provide the latest in battery electric propulsion technology. Charging will be provided via rear curbside plug (in-depot overnight) and overhead rails (pantograph). The HC buses will help reduce uncertainty in future larger HC BEB fleet planning and increase the likelihood of success. Furthermore, the HC BEBs will demonstrate positive public progress while supporting the overall strategy for providing reliable transit service and electrification in accordance with the CleanBC Plan. |
