Description
Description | Acquisition of approximately 118 transit vehicles in order to replace aging and end-of-life fleet and support the expansion of new transit services across British Columbia. These vehicles replace rolling stock at the end of life, and feature improved efficiency, accessibility standards, improved safety amenities for drivers and riders, as well as the planned capacity for technology upgrades that will ensure vehicles are able to accommodate planned improvements in vehicle tracking, closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras, and new payment technologies. New expansion buses are in addition to existing stock and will allow British Columbia Transit to expand services to better meet community needs. |
