Description | The project entails construction of a 68MW solar park in the state of Piaui, which will be part of a hybrid complex. The project's owner is Sol do Piaui Geracao de Energia - an SPV controlled by a joint venture between Votorantim Energia and Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB), called VTRM Energia e Participacoes. Total project cost is R$237.4 million ($47 million). The R$189.9 million ($37.74 million) loan from BNDES will fund about 80% of the project's cost. Financial Closure was achieved in June 2021.
