In July 2010, the Mexican group Comexhidro commenced the development of a 30-MW hydro power plant located at Puente Porras, municipality of Zongolica, state of Veracruz. The power plant was named Luis de la Mora Ostos and the sponsor created the special purpose company Electricidad del Golfo, S de RL de CV to manage the project.

Description | In July 2010, the Mexican group Comexhidro commenced the development of a 30-MW hydro power plant located at Puente Porras, municipality of Zongolica, state of Veracruz. The power plant was named Luis de la Mora Ostos and the sponsor created the special purpose company Electricidad del Golfo, S de RL de CV to manage the project. The project was set to supply 15% of the electricity needs of the municipalities of Zongolica, Mixtla de Altamirano and San Juan Texhuaca. Commercial operations began in June 2013. The investment in the power plant was estimated at US$ 45 million. |
