Vernon River Confederation Trail Structure

The replacement of a buried structure on the Confederation Trail section in Vernon Bridge, PEI. The scope generally includes: - Installation of environmental controls (silt fences, straw mulch, silt booms, check dams, retention ponds, and others as required) - Clearing and grubbing of vegetation locally within the project site(s) - Excavation of earthen material to gain access to structure for removal. - Removal and disposal of the existing structures. - Supply and installation of steel piles for foundation elements at pier locations and at abutments. - Construction of forms, supply and installation of reinforcement and supply and placement of concrete pier caps and abutment caps. - Supply and installation of beams for superstructure - Supply, placement and compaction of suitable backfill material against the new abutments - Supply and installation of transverse timber beams and PT timber decking. - Supply and installation of railings. - Supply and placement of topsoil and hydroseed. Site clean-up and demobilize. - Schedule would be from August 2021 to November 2021. Structures are replacements and will be new structures.
