Description
Description | David and Jackie Siegel began constructing a 90,000-square-foot mansion in Windermere, Florida, inspired by the Palace of Versailles. The project includes extravagant features such as 14 bedrooms, 30 bathrooms, five kitchens, a 35-car garage, bowling alley, ice-skating rink, ballroom, movie theater, British-style pub, multiple pools, fitness and spa facilities, and a baseball field. Construction started in 2004 but was halted in 2009 due to the 2008 financial crisis. Work resumed in 2013, with ongoing challenges including damage from Hurricane Ian in 2022. The mansion remains under construction more than 20 years after work began. |
