Description

Description

Vértice Cine is one of the most important independent distribution companies in the Spanish film industry. During the past 5 years we have released in theatres 35 films in total and 33 of them have had a European certificate of nationality (including UK films). Among our European hits, you can find titles such as Asterix: The Secret of the Magic Potion (Alexandre Astier, Louis Clichy), The Wife (Björn Runge), Early Man (Nick Park), Winchester (The Spierig brothers), Judy (Rupert Goold), Shaun the Sheep 2 (Will Becher, Richard Phelan), Red Joan (Trevor Nunn), The Gentlemen (Guy Richie), Radin! (Fred Cavayé), etc. We can also highlight several national titles that we have released in the past years as El lodo (Iñaki Sánchez Arrieta), Poliamor para principiantes (Fernando Colomo), Antes de la quema (Fernando Colomo) and Formentera Lady (Pau Durá). Not only as distributors, but as producers we also want to support new talents and promote the Spanish culture. During the first semester of 2022 we plan on release in theatres at least 3 European titles: Mothering Sunday (Eva Husson), Notre-Dame Brûle (Jean-Jacques Annaud) and En attendant Bojangles (Régis Roinsard). Due to the current pandemic situation, it is difficult to foresee how many Europeans titles we will have in the second semester. On 2021 we only released one film qualified as European in the MEDIA Database but we also worked with some UK films and national films. As we have been doing these past years, we plan on reinvesting the amount generated in a very carefully selected single project. Our goal through this project is to support new European talent, to promote diversity and to keep putting the European culture in the foreground of cinema.
