Veterinary Quarantine project in Oman

The project involves the development of a Veterinary Quarantine facility in Oman through a public-private partnership (PPP) scheme, intended to strengthen the country’s animal health and biosecurity systems. Under the proposed Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Maintain (DBFOM) model, the private sector partner will be responsible for delivering and managing the facility, while supporting government efforts to regulate the importation and quarantine of animals in accordance with national and international standards. The initiative, led by the Ministry of Finance in coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, seeks to leverage private sector expertise and investment to enhance service efficiency, ensure compliance with veterinary controls, and improve the overall management of quarantine operations in the Sultanate.
