In September 2012, Rutas de Lima, a partnership of the Brazilian company Odebrecht and the Peruvian Sigma, won in a competitive bidding the right to expand, rehabilitate and operate the 115 km of highways of districts located in Lima, Peru. The project was named Vias Nuevas de Lima. No information was available regarding the contract awarding process. The 30-year concession contract was signed in January 2013. The sponsors created the company Concesionaria Rutas de Lima to lead the project. Operations commenced in February 2013. The investment was estimated at US$ 590 million. In June 2014, a financing package comprised of a US$ 200 million 15-year loan and US$ 520 million in long-term bonds was approved. BBVA and Creditcorp were the leading arrangers of the financing package. Updated country from Brazil to Peru.
