The project involves the development of Australia's first offshore wind-dedicated sea port at Western Port Bay, Victoria. The port will serve as a central hub for the supply and distribution of large turbine parts and components to support offshore wind generation capacity targets in Victoria. The project has undergone design changes to reduce environmental impacts, including a reduction in reclamation and dredging footprints, and adjustments to minimize noise and protect nearby mangroves.
