Description | The project involves the development, construction, and operation of the 100MW Vientos Bonaerenses wind farm (formerly known as Energética wind farm), located near Tres Picos, in the Buenos Aires province in Argentina. The project was awarded as part of Round 2 of RenovAr renewables program. The farm will sell 20% of the generated energy under renewable energy term market (MATER) PPAs, while the other 80% will be sold to CAMMESA. The sponsor is AES Corporation and the SPV is Energética Argentina SA. The project cost is $ 172.4 million. Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) provided $115.5 million loan. Financial close was announced on 11 September 2019.
