Vietnam TR4 Banana Wilt Disease Protection Project

under implementation

An emergency project launched by Vietnam's Ministry of Agriculture and Environment to combat banana wilt disease caused by Fusarium spp. TR4. The project aims to reduce affected areas by 40%, identify resistant banana varieties, and develop biological control methods. It includes establishing a monitoring and early warning system, expanding diagnostic capacity, selecting resistant varieties, identifying antagonistic microbial strains, and developing disease-free banana seedling production processes.
