Vifor Wind Farm Phase 2

Rezolv Energy secured incremental project finance facilities of up to 331 million euro for the development of the 269 MW second phase of its 461 MW Vifor wind farm in Romania's southeastern county of Buzau. The first phase comprises 30 turbines of 6.4 MW each, totaling 192 MW, scheduled to be operational by spring 2026. The second phase will add 42 turbines, expected to be commissioned in Q4 2027, bringing total capacity to 461 MW. The project is supported by lenders including Erste Group, UniCredit Group, EBRD, IFC, Intesa Sanpaolo Group, OTP Bank, and Raiffeisenlandesbank Niederoesterreich-Wien. The expanded wind farm is expected to generate 1.2 TWh annually, avoiding over 500,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions each year, and is the first EBRD-financed project benefiting from a contract-for-difference awarded under Romania's inaugural CfD auction.
