Description

Description

Actis-backed renewables developer Rezolv Energy has secured incremental project finance facilities of up to EUR 331 million (USD 386m) to build the second phase of its Vifor wind farm in Romania, bringing the project to its full 461 MW capacity. The first 192-MW phase is currently under construction and scheduled to come online by the spring of 2026 with 30 turbines of 6.4 MW each. The second phase will add 269 MW of capacity across 42 turbines, planned for commissioning in the final quarter of 2027. Located in Romania's Buzau County, Vifor will be one of the largest onshore wind farms in Europe once operational. The second phase is backed by lenders from the first phase, including Erste Group, UniCredit Group, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), International Finance Corporation (IFC), Intesa Sanpaolo Group, OTP Bank, and Raiffeisenlandesbank Niederoesterreich-Wien.
