Description | The Vijayawada West Bypass is a six-lane access-controlled bypass spanning approximately 47 kilometres from Chinna Avutapalli to Kaza. It is part of the Kaza–Vijayawada–Gundugolanu National Highway project and aims to ease traffic congestion in and around Vijayawada. The project includes major infrastructure components such as two large flyovers, about 20 Road Over Bridges and Vehicular Under Passes, multiple service roads, and a 3-km-long six-lane bridge across the Krishna River. It connects NH-65 at Gollapudi and NH-16 at Kaza, facilitating smooth access to Amaravati and integrating with arterial roads in the capital region. |
