Description | The main objectives of the project are to decommission the landfill and to address any potential environmental impacts that may have occurred from the historical landfilling on site. The Ultimate Recipient operates a 8,100 m2 landfill that includes dug pit-style landfilling. A site assessment has recently been completed in an effort to understand the current conditions of the site and will be used to develop a Corrective Action Plan and Closure Plan for the site going forward. The scope of work includes: design and installation of cap; consolidation of waste; and soil leveling. Following project completion the site will be seeded to grass. |
