Village of Chase Community Building Improvements

The project will consist of re-roofing the main building roof of the Chase community hall, municipal hall and curling facility which are all municipally owned facilities. Some structural upgrades will be required in areas around the HVAC unit and walkway which are located on the roof. The project will also require plywood replacement in some areas. The community hall is a central gathering place of the community and serves as an adult education centre, as a gymnasium for senior groups and general fitness classes, as a Food Bank distribution centre, food safe infrastructure and storage site, as a meeting place for Council and community groups, as a youth recreation facility and as a facility for public events, performances and gatherings. The COVID 19 pandemic has increased the demand for use of the community hall as it is one of only a few premises in the community large enough to respond to the COVID 19 restrictions. Project works include: - Roof replacement of community building, municipal hall and curling facility;, - Rebuilding of the walkway, - Rebuilding of the deck; and, - related works.
