Description | The Village of Chester wastewater system renewal project consists of renewal to the wastewater system’s existing core components to address performance and condition issues and to increase capacity. The project includes the following: - upgrades to two existing lift stations at 10 Mallard Lane, and 3947 North Street to address performance and condition issues. - construction of a renewed lift station and forcemain at 264 Pig Loop Road to address performance, condition and capacity issues. - upgrades to the wastewater treatment plant to address performance, condition, and capacity issues. - construction of a new lift station and forcemain at Chester Mills (on the west side of Stanford Lake) for a new service area. - construction of a new gravity collection system (on the west and north side of Stanford Lake) for the new service area. This project will improve infrastructure and service delivery, address performance and condition issues and increase capacity by providing wastewater service to a new housing development project in the community. Wastewater treatment plant will be upgraded to meet or exceed the National Performance Standards and Effluent Discharge Objectives of the Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment (CCME). |
