Description
Description | The Project proposes to construct of a new back-up well and related appurtenances (for example, stop values that control the flow of water), upgrades to the existing water treatment plant to accommodate the expansion of one underground concrete reservoir, upgrades to the existing ventilation system at the water treatment plant, a backup well and ventilation fan, and associated electrical works. The Project will increase potable water storage for the Village of Drake and increase the lifespan of the existing reservoir to comply with provincial drinking water regulations. Currently the Village’s reservoir capacity is 90,920 litres, which does not meet Saskatchewan’s Water Security Agency (WSA) drinking water storage requirements. Upon the completion of the Project, the capacity will increase to 323,000 litres and will meet design requirements. |
