Description
Description | The project objective is to decommission and reclaim the landfill of the Village of Harris. The landfill has a surface area of approximately 7 acres and was permitted to only receive municipal waste during its operation. The landfill is currently closed and ready for decommissioning. An Environmental Site Assessment Level II and the Corrective Action Plan have already been completed; therefore, the scope of work for the project includes completing and implementing a Decommissioning and Reclamation plan that is acceptable to the Ministry of Environment’s Landfill Section. Decommissioning and Reclamation activities include management of the metal and concrete piles. The reclaimed landfill will be owned by Village of Harris with the intended use of native pastureland. |
