Village of Holdfast - Water Treatment Plant Upgrades

The objective of the project is to upgrade our water treatment plant to reduce the levels of manganese and arsenic in the treated water utilizing a Manganese Greensand Filtration system and an Ultraviolet (UV) disinfection system. This treatment is used in iron, manganese, hydrogen sulfide and arsenic removal. Review and repair to the existing raw water supply line is required as breaks in the line are suspected. Reductions in these chemical parameters and improved disinfection levels will provide safer and more palatable water for our community. Project scope includes upgrades to the treatment system, replacement of 2000 meters of raw water line and associated piping, mechanical and electrical works.
