Description | The objective of the project is to provide necessary upgrades to the Village’s water distribution system. The distribution facilities (pumps, reservoir capacity) are undersized for the water usage requirements of the Village residents and industrial users. Fire suppression is not currently provided, which is a risk to the community. The project involves a building expansion at the existing water treatment plant with additional reservoir capacity, upgraded pumping equipment, modernized controls, and backup power generation. All upgrades will increase flow capacity, allow for fire suppression capabilities, increase system reliability and efficiency, and strengthen the distribution system. |
