Description | Villages of Hayti is a 252-unit affordable housing community redevelopment project in the Hayti neighborhood of Durham, North Carolina. It is a Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) development providing homes rented at no more than 30 to 80 percent of area median income, including 26 units reserved for residents with disabilities or individuals experiencing homelessness. The project includes a 4,000-square-foot community building with multipurpose room, computer and office center, exercise room, and outdoor amenities such as a playground, shaded seating areas, and a covered picnic pavilion. The redevelopment is on a 20-acre former public housing site called Fayette Place. |
