The state provided a large incentive package including up to $316.1 million in reimbursements, $450 million for site preparation and infrastructure, and other grants and incentives totaling roughly $1.2 billion. However, VinFast failed to meet key construction and job-creation deadlines, leading to a lawsuit by North Carolina to reclaim the site for future economic development. |
