The project includes wells with helium concentrations exceeding 3%, some reaching as high as 12%. Phase 1 of the plant was commissioned in 2022, with an expected helium production of 350kg per day. However, actual helium production was significantly below target, with only 52.6 kg produced in the half-year period ending August 31, 2025, leading to the shutdown of the helium plant due to non-viable flow rates. |
