Virtual Emergency Room Waiting Room Project at Sault Area Hospital

operational

The Sault Area Hospital in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, has implemented a virtual emergency room waiting room project that allows patients with less urgent health concerns to join a virtual queue, significantly reducing their wait times and improving patient experience. The project enables patients to continue with their daily activities while waiting and reduces the likelihood of patients leaving without treatment. It is funded by the local Ontario Health team and costs $40,000 annually.
