Description

Description	This project involves the construction of the Vista Alegre Solar PV Complex, located in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. The special purpose vehicle for this initiative is Vista Alegre Comercializadora de Energia SA while the sponsor is Atlas Renewable Energy. The planned generated capacity is 768MW (902MWp). The Vista Alegre Solar PV Complex comprises a total of 18 photovoltaic parks. This solar pv complex will generate 2 TWh per year, enough to offset 2.4 million tones of carbon dioxide (CO2) for a 20-year period. The total project cost is $657m (R$3.2bn) of which the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) will provide a loan for $448m (R$2.18bn).
