Viva Energy New Energies Service Station Hydrogen Refuelling Project

The project involves the launch of Australia's largest hydrogen refuelling station located in Corio, Geelong. It is the country's first public service station to offer renewable hydrogen to commercial trucks and transport, aiming to reduce emissions and lower fuel costs. The station features a 2.5MW on-site electrolyser converting recycled water and renewable electricity into renewable hydrogen, and includes charging options for electric vehicles. The site will initially accommodate five buses and trucks refuelling daily, ramping up to 12-15 vehicles over two years. Viva Energy will also deploy 15 hydrogen-powered heavy vehicles on Victorian roads within two years.
