Description

Description

The Slate of projects we are presenting is representative of the future we are envisioning for our company: a brand known for high quality international projects aimed at the global market. The projects included are three feature films, Simone Weil in London, Dor and The Girl with the Leica, and the series Slow Fire. The feature films have already well defined artistic, creative and director-driven qualities and they represent a good mix in terms of genres, scope and originality, while embodying all the features that we think Vivo film’s works should have: being recognizable for their artistic strength, capacity of shifting the point of view on the world we live in, being very contemporary and able to deal with relevant and universal themes. Costanza Quatriglio’s Simone Weil in London is an ambitious retelling of the philosopher’s last years and thoughts; Dor, Valeria Testagrossa’s first feature, narrates the relationship between an old lady and her caregiver; The Girl with the Leica marks the return behind the camera of Alina Marazzi with the story of Gerda Taro’s inspiring life. Slow Fire represents one of the most challenging tasks we are facing in the company’s scaling up, as it will be our first series project. To better exploit its commercial appeal, we aim to have a very focused and tailored development phase, in which we will closely follow the scriptwriting process to create a truly international, sharp and light comedy. Obtaining Creative Europe MEDIA’s financing for Slate development will allow us not only to have adequate resources to invest in the development of these challenging but very exciting projects, but also to achieve a better and more consistent planning of our company’s activities, schedules and working strategies and to consolidate our profile as producers of high-quality arthouse products aimed at the global market.
