The project aims to expedite rail-based freight connectivity to the deep-water port, transforming Vizhinjam port from a transshipment hub to a cargo gateway, and opening it up to hinterland markets in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana. |
