For many years, the CHU de La Réunion has been developing and implementing cooperation actions with the countries of the Indian Ocean (Union of Comoros, Madagascar, Seychelles and Mauritius). These actions are in line with the guidelines of the cooperation strategy carried out by the Regional Health Project adopted by the Indian Ocean Regional Health Agency in a context of regional integration. They respond to the expression of the targeted needs of partner countries. This collaboration, through partnership agreements, gives professionals an openness to the different ways of understanding patient care. It also allows for improved health migration. Finally, it calls into question the processes and procedures in order to renew their relevance. The CHUR concentrates its efforts on a limited number of actions so that they can be carried out in good conditions given the funding and resources available. The project aims to support the training of health professionals through cross-exchange of experience and participation in initial and continuing training schemes. It is concretised by training modules, practical traineeships in services and training-actions, on topics determined in common by the partners, where strong support for the management of training is offered.
