Description

Description

The FC module aims to improve access to and the quality of training at vocational training institutions in Mozambique. To this end, the second phase (TVET II) will focus on the Instituto Industrial e Commercial da Beira (IICB) and, in addition to the necessary additional expansion of the existing infrastructure in the IICB, a teacher training center and a technology and service center will be created. The project measures include the expansion and construction of workshops including technical and didactic equipment. Existing dormitory capacities are also to be expanded. Another measure is the training of teachers. The aim of the project is to strengthen the vocational training sector in Mozambique. Access to private and public vocational training institutions is to be expanded and improved. The overarching goal is to improve the employability of participants in vocational training and thus reduce youth unemployment by increasing the labor market relevance of vocational training. The project activities are also aimed at young people from disadvantaged groups.
