Vodacom and Starlink Satellite Broadband Partnership

planned

Vodacom has partnered with Starlink to deliver satellite broadband connectivity across Africa. The partnership aims to integrate Starlink's satellite backhaul into Vodacom's mobile network to expand coverage and improve performance in rural areas, providing connectivity to schools, health centres, and communities. Vodacom will also resell Starlink equipment and services to enterprise and small business customers, developing localized solutions for African markets. The collaboration targets sectors such as mining, oil and gas, agriculture, tourism, retail, and financial services with new offerings including backup internet and device-as-a-service options.
