Description

VOICES aims to prevent and combat diverse forms of GBV and contribute to long-term and structural changes, especially at the grassroots level, by funding, and strengthening the organisational capacity and policy involvement of CSOs addressing domestic violence and sexual violence, gender-based cyber violence and GBV-related harmful practices, in Greece and Cyprus. It will fund 37 CSO projects through an open call for relevant projects that will implement activities including: awareness-raising; capacity building/training; design & provision of services improving access to victim support; development of resources, toolkits, guidelines & manuals; identification and exchange of good practices; design/implementation of strategies, protocols; development of transferable working methods & tools; coordination of platforms/groups; research, data-collection & watchdog activities; advocacy; EU-level learning and exchange. The project will strengthen the advocacy role and policy involvement of CSOs through 12 hours’ awareness raising, establishment of an Advocacy Network to enhance CSO participation in national consultations for the EU VAW/DW Directive, 32-hour’ advocacy training, 25-hours’ thematic training on European & national frameworks on preventing and combating GBV taught by renowned international experts - including the President of GREVIO - and networking activities. VOICES will also strengthen CSOs’ organisational effectiveness and sustainability through providing 96 hours’ organisational development training and up to 555 hours coaching, mentoring and consulting. The primary target group are CSOs active in fighting GBV with an emphasis on grassroots, small, and remote/rural CSOs. VOICES will also benefit survivors and those at risk of GBV, particularly women and girls and those facing intersectional discrimination; victims’ relatives, friends and bystanders; frontline professionals/service providers; media/journalists; authorities; policy- & lawmakers; the public.
