Volker Energy Solutions delivers land station HKZ

Land station Hollandse Kust Zuid is ready for use. Volker Energy Solutions transferred the new high-voltage substation on Maasvlakte 2 to TenneT during the delivery time. The request from client TenneT consisted of realising the installation scope for the land station in greenfield. This feat of realising this complete station on a bare surface is one of the specialties of Volker Energy Solutions. The power that will go to this land station will come from the offshore wind farms. Tennet is fully engaged in optimising and expanding its network in the context of the energy transition and the resulting increased demand for Electricity. Collaboration with TenneT is key to success The order consisted primarily of the 220 / 380kV switchgear and a 33kV distribution system. Furthermore, the secondary, tertiary and telecom installations had to be made for the control, signalling and power supply. The primary, secondary and telecom design was provided by TenneT, on which Volker-ES carried out detailed engineering to realize the panels. The entire tertiary scope is designed, built and connected by our people. The project was carried out according to plan to the satisfaction of client TenneT, which is largely due to the pleasant cooperation with the TenneT team. Together, the project has been brought to a safe and successful conclusion!
