The Alliance is committed to fostering a participatory, sustainable, and resilient network of member organisations dedicated to International Voluntary Service (IVS) across Europe and beyond. For 2026–2027, our strategic focus aligns closely with the Erasmus+ Programme priorities, emphasizing inclusion, diversity, environmental sustainability, digital transformation, and democratic participation. Our objectives include strengthening democratic governance and active membership engagement through transparent, accessible structures and effective onboarding. We aim to diversify funding sources to ensure financial independence and develop a fair, inclusive membership system that upholds quality standards for IVS projects. Capacity building is central to our work, providing members with tools, training, and collaborative spaces to enhance organisational resilience, advocacy skills, and sustainable practices. We prioritize environmental responsibility by establishing common sustainability guidelines and advancing climate justice advocacy. Addressing mobility barriers, we advocate for freedom of movement to ensure equal access to IVS opportunities. Through active representation in key youth networks such as CCIVS and YFJ, we amplify the voice of our members and foster strategic partnerships. Our communication strategy enhances visibility and engagement, delivering targeted outreach to volunteers, donors, and the public via digital platforms and informative resources. We also promote inclusive, safe spaces that respect gender diversity and foster active youth participation. By integrating these objectives with the EU Youth Strategy’s pillars of Engage, Connect, and Empower, the Alliance contributes to empowering young people, strengthening civil society, and advancing sustainable, democratic values throughout Europe.
